November ’07 - The Xtreme competed in the Premier division of the CASL Shootout in Raleigh, NC. Playing teams from Georgia, Florida and North Carolina in pool play, the Xtreme finished undefeated and in first place to advance to the finals. In the finals the Xtreme lost to the always powerful Westminster Black Wolves, a team we expect to see again in WAGS Division 1 in the Spring.
November ’07 - The Xtreme wrapped up a very successful fall season, finishing second in Division 2 with a 7-2-0 record. We’re looking forward to the challenge of moving up to compete in Division 1 in the Spring.
October ’07 - Over Columbus Day weekend the Xtreme played in the inaugural Discovery Cup tournment at the Maryland Soccerplex. Facing a strong field on a warm weekend, the Xtreme finished the preliminary round undefeated agains the Thunder Soccer Magic, LMVSA Patriots and the White Plains Elite 95 (NY). With only a short break in between games, the Xtreme took on FC Frederick in the semi-finals and came from behind to win 2-1 to advance to the finals against the powerful Albertson Elite Fury. The finals were the third game in five hours for the Xtreme and after a close first half the Fury pulled away in the second half to take the championship. Congratulations girls, you had a great tournament.
September ’07 - The Xtreme have gotten off to a great start in the fall WAGS season. Currently they sit at the top of the division at 5-0-0 heading into the second half of the season.
August ’ 07 - The Xtreme competed in the August Cup tournament playing against top level competition including two Divsion 1 WAGS teams. The team played well, finishing with a 2-1 record, losing to the eventual tournament champion.

June ’07 - After completing a round of very competitive tryouts, the Xtreme is pleased to welcome Meredith, Casey, Devon, Tori, and Nicole to the team for the 2007/2008 year. We’re looking forward to having them as part of the Xtreme soccer family for the upcoming soccer season.
June ’07 - The Xtreme closed out a successful spring season, finishing as runner-up in the WAGS Festival in the Park tournament. In what is always a very competive match against the BRYC Eclipse, the Xtreme lost on penalty kicks in the finals. Congratulations Xtreme and Eclipse for a well played match.
June ’07 - The Xtreme finished the spring WAGS season tied for fourth place in WAGS Division 2 with a 4-4-1 record.
April ’07- The Xtreme completed their second shutout win of the spring WAGS season with a 3-0 victory over the Potomac Thunder. The game was scoreless at the half before the Xtreme scored three goals within a short span to pull away from the Thunder.
April ’07 - In a bit of a scheduling anomaly, the Xtreme faced the MASA Matrix for a WAGS match the day after facing them in the State Cup tournament. The weather was hot and the teams played a scoreless first half. The second half however, proved that the results of the State Cup game were not an aberration as the Xtreme scored three goals to beat the Matrix for the second time in two days by a score of 3-0.
April ’07 - STATE CUP - For their opening match in the Virginia State Cup tournament, the Xtreme drew the MASA Matrix. The Xtreme’s controlled passing game staked them to a 1-0 lead at the half. The second half brought more of the same and the Xtreme scored twice more to give them a 3-0 win in their introduction to the VA State Cup tournament.
April ’07- The Xtreme opened the spring season with a match against the MCSA Junior Majestics. The Xtreme controlled the ball well but surrendered two goals while tallying one, resulting in the first loss of the season, 2-1.
March ’07 - As it always does, the Jefferson Cup brought tough competition and the Xtreme was ready for the challenge. In the first game of the tournament, the Xtreme played to a 3-3 draw after a see-saw battle with the FC Frederick. In the second game, the Xtreme wasn’t able to penetrate the tough defense of FC Delco Fusion from PA, losing a tough match 2-0. In the third game, the Xtreme defeated the Beach FC Piranhas 1-0. While the team didn’t advance out of their bracket, it was a weekend well suited to preparing for the upcoming Spring WAGS season.
March ’07 - The Xtreme are the 2007 Arlington Spring Invitational Classic division champions. Congratulations to the team for playing so well under challenging weather conditions. The Xtreme only surrendered one goal during the entire tournament.
March ’07 - This month you can find the Xtreme playing in the Arlington Spring Invitational (March 17-18) and the Jefferson Cup (March 24-25) pre-season tournaments.
February ’07 - Welcome to Ashley, Rikki and Jackie who are joining the team for the Spring season.
January ’07 - The Xtreme had the thrill of training with Jaime Moreno of DC United during one of their recent offseason training sessions. It was a great opportuntiy for the girls to learn some of the "tricks of the trade" from the six-time MLS All-Star.
November ’06 - During the weekend of November 4 & 5, the Xtreme traveled to Raleigh, NC for the prestigous CASL tournament. The competition was tough and the Xtreme was up to the challenge. Game 1 was against the LMVSA Patriots and the Xtreme controlled play taking a 1-0 lead in the first half of the game. Late in the second half the Patriots scored the equalizer and the game ended a 1-1 draw. In game two against the Freestate Lightning, the Xtreme started agressively and never let up, dominating possession and shots on goal. Final score: 3-0 in favor of the Xtreme positioning the Xtreme in first place in their bracket and a place in the semi-finals. In the semi’s against the Waldorf Wolverines the Xtreme again controlled play to start the game, getting several quality shots on goal including one off the post. Unfortunately, the Xtreme was unable to punch the ball across despite consistent pressure. Mid-way into the second half, the Wolverines scored off a corner kick and held off the Xtreme for the remaining minutes for a 1-0 win. Congratulations to the Xtreme for a strong tournament and to the Wolverines, the tournament champion. The Xtreme showed tremendous improvement from the start of the year, a real testament to the hard work of the players and the quality of the training. Now a well deserved break before the start of off-season training and indoor soccer season.
October ’06 - The Xtreme wrapped up the fall regular season against the powerful TSC Thunder from Maryland. The windy conditions made this one a game of halves, with each team using the strong wind to their advantage, controlling play when it was blowing their direction. In the end, the defenses won out and the game finished as a 0-0 draw. The Xtreme finished the WAGS season at 6-2-1.
October ’06 - Game eight against Great Falls Fire provided an opportunity for players to get extended playing time at other positions while delivering a 4-0 victory. Season record stands at 6-2.
October ’06 - Game seven of the season and the Xtreme played a defensive battle against the Bethesda Storm winning 1-0 to raise their season record to 5-2.
October ’06 -Columbus Day weekend brought heavy rain and the cancellation of the Battlefield Classic tournament. The Xtreme parents and players found out what it feels like to have a soccer-free weekend.
October ’06 - In week five the Xtreme hit the road for a trip to Westminster, MD to take on the WWSC Wolves. The Wolves were aggressive from the start jumping out to an early lead and building from there, beating the Xtreme by a score of 7-2. The Xtreme season record stands at 4-2.
September ’06 - Week four and the Xtreme recorded another victory beating the Calvert Spirit by a score of 5-0 to bring their season record to 4-1.
September ’06 - Week three of the season brought a game against the highly ranked SYA Power. The Xtreme played a strong game and ended the first half tied at 1. Late in the second half the Power scored three quick goals and won going away 4-1 after an injury forced the departure of the Xtreme goalie.
September ’06 - The Xtreme was accepted to play in the prestigious CASL Shootout tournament to be held in Raleigh, NC November 4 & 5. We’re looking forward to the challenge of playing some of the toughest competition on the East Coast.
September ’06 - In week two of the season, the Xtreme faced the Gunston Ay Yi Yi and the match provided the opportunity for the Xtreme to focus on passing and ball control. The final score: Xtreme 6 - Ay Yi Yi 0. Xtreme’s record on the season stands at 3-0.
September ’06 - The opening weekend of the season served as a good start with wins over FPYC Roadrunners (2-0) and the LMVSA Patriots ’94 (7-0). The team continues to jell and adapt their style of play to the larger field.
August ’06 - The Xtreme finished with a very respectable 1-1-1 record in the Dulles National Tournament playing against some strong competition from the local area. They opened with a 3-1 victory over the Alexandria Titans and followed with a 1-1 draw with the always tough Mclean Power. In their final game they went toe to toe with the Herndon Elite, falling 1-0 in a hard fought match. The results are a solid start for the team and a good base to build upon.
August ’06 - Congratulations to the Xtreme’s Dani Dangremond for her selection to the Olympic Development Program ’94 North District Pool.
August ’06 - The Xtreme kickoff the fall season with pre-season training camp August 14th. Regular season practice begins the week of August 21st. The first competition of the fall season will be the
Dulles National Tournament in Herndon, VA, August 26 & 27.
July ’06 - The Xtreme participated in various summer training programs to refine their skills this summer. The majority of the team participated in the Darryl Gee Soccer Academy residential camp at Foxcroft school in Middleburg, VA in July. This was a great opportunity for team bonding and to improve individual technical skills and team tactics. Next up is the pre-season team camp in August to prepare for the upcoming season!
June ’06 - The Xtreme have finalized the team roster for the fall season. We anxiously await the start of another WAGS season with high expectations for the regular season and the tournaments in which we will participate. Our first competition for the fall season will be in the Dulles National tournament August 26 & 27 in Herndon.
