Loudoun County Field Cancellation Hot Line - (703) 777-0456 for up to date information or call the ASC Call In Line at (703)729-1211 for recorded information about field conditions after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays or 8:00 a.m. on weekends.

There are several sources of information to check to see if a practice or game has been rained out. The first is the Loudoun County Information Line at 703-777-0456. This line is updated between 3:45 and 4:15 every day and around 7 on Saturdays. We cannot open fields wihout this information. Listen closely as the information here comes in several forms. Sometimes they will say all fields are closed, in which case, enjoy the day off as we are not allowed to play. Other times they will list certain fields which are closed. Lastly, they will use the term "game time decision". This means the field is open, but coaches should use discretion when they see conditions at the field.
There will be times in particular when the county uses the "game time decision" phrase that ASC closes fields based on our own observations of our fields. We make every effort to announce these closures on the website, in email and on our call-in line at 703-729-1211.
Please realize that while every effort is made to get the word out, there will be times that we are not able to update the website or send email. There are a limited number of people able to handle these and if they are all on the way home from work in anticipation of practicing, it is impossible to get on the Internet. Coaches at times have similar issues in directly contacting players.
 

 

We do not often cancel for light rain (without lightning) unless the field is already saturated and becoming unplayable. By default, if you do not find out that a practice or game is cancelled, you should assume it will go as scheduled.
